With Inter set to face Salernitana in match-week ten of the Serie A tomorrow afternoon, Nerazzurri boss Simone Inzaghi previewed the vital fixture to the media earlier today.
As it stands, Inter currently sit in seventh place with a total of 15 points. Despite their sluggish start to the campaign, Inzaghi’s men seem to be finding their stride after 2-1 victory over Sassuolo, as well as their enticing 3-3 draw against Spanish giants Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
In an interview with Inter TV, relayed by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian tactician touched upon the emotions that were relished after an impressive draw within the mid-week fixtures:
It was an intense Wednesday, we played a great game against a very strong opponent, but that is already the past We’ll think about the Champions League later on, but tomorrow we need to have our full focus on a Salernitana side that is well-organised.
“My team has always shown that it has heart and determination, which allowed us to put in that performance in Barcelona. It drained us, physically and mentally, and Salernitana will make it another very intense match for us.
“I think the motivation could make the difference and obviously I hope my team has more, because this is an important match.”
