Investigation into Inter and Milan Ultras: New details emerge on Boiocchi murder

Start

Recent developments in the ongoing investigation into the Ultras of Inter Milan and AC Milan have shed new light on the murder of Vittorio Boiocchi in October 2022. According to reports from Calciomercato, Boiocchi’s death may be directly linked to recent events culminating in the murder of Antonio Bellocco by Andrea Beretta, the current leader of the Curva Nord.

The investigation has revealed that Boiocchi’s murder might have been connected to his opposition to the unified “Curva Nord” banner that replaced individual group banners in the stadium’s second tier. This change was reportedly orchestrated by Ferdico and Beretta, who had formed an alliance with Luca Lucci, the leader of the Curva Sud, to centralize power and better distribute profits.

This transformation was met with resistance from various groups, who were allegedly forced to accept the change against their will. Boiocchi’s opposition to this new arrangement may have cost him his life.

Suspicions have been raised about Beretta’s involvement in Boiocchi’s murder. Following the incident, Beretta reportedly disappeared for two days and destroyed his cell phone in a microwave. When questioned on October 31, Beretta explained that after clashes between Inter and Napoli fans, which resulted in the death of Daniele Belardinelli, Boiocchi had appointed him as a close collaborator in managing merchandise, including the opening of the “We are Milano” store in Pioltello.

The store reportedly generated about 85,000 euros annually for Boiocchi, but tensions arose between him and Beretta, with Boiocchi accusing Beretta of pocketing money. These disagreements remained unresolved, leading prosecutors to question Beretta’s behavior at the time, describing it as “highly suspicious” and potentially indicative of a motive.

Following Boiocchi’s murder, Beretta began promoting Marco Ferdico as the frontman for the new regime, implementing a violent policy towards various groups and aggressively pushing for the adoption of the unified banner. This series of events has raised further questions about the power dynamics and criminal activities within the Ultras groups of both Milan clubs.
