Inter’s summer transfer plans for Juma Bah

Start

Inter Milan are set to acquire a new central defender in the upcoming summer transfer window, though the specific target remains undetermined. The club must first clarify the futures of Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij, with only one likely to remain.

Initially, Acerbi seemed favored to stay due to his contract extension until 2026. However, his injury issues and disagreements with the medical staff over recovery management have caused Inter to reconsider. The club may now opt to pay a €500,000 penalty to terminate Acerbi’s contract in June 2025, reverting to the original plan before last March’s hasty renewal.

Calciomercato report on potential new signings, including 18-year-old Juma Bah from Valladolid who has recently been linked with Inter. However, contrary to reports, the club’s interest in Bah is not as strong as suggested. While Sporting Director Piero Ausilio did discuss Bah with Ronaldo in recent meetings, the young Sierra Leonean defender doesn’t currently fit Inter’s immediate needs for the position.

Bah is on Inter’s watchlist but is viewed as a prospect more similar to Yann Bisseck rather than a ready-made solution like Alessandro Buongiorno. He might become a more serious target if substantial offers arrive for Bisseck, but for now, there are no advanced negotiations between Inter and Bah.
