The owners of the land in Rozzano, where Inter Milan are considering building their new stadium, have provided an update on the ongoing feasibility studies. The Brioschi-Cabassi group, who own the property, revealed details about the exclusive rights agreement with Inter and potential alternative plans.
In their financial report, the real estate company disclosed that Inter’s exclusive rights to evaluate the Rozzano site have been extended. “On July 28, 2023, Infrafin granted FC Internazionale Milano S.p.A. a paid exclusive right until April 30, 2024, to verify the possibility of building a stadium and some accessory functions within the property area in Rozzano. At the expiration of April 30, 2024, with the same purposes as above, Infrafin s.r.l. granted FC Internazionale Milano S.p.A. a new paid exclusive right until January 31, 2025,” the report stated.
The financial impact of this agreement was also highlighted: “The result from interests in investees, positive by 0.9 million euros compared to 3.3 million euros as of June 30, 2023, is attributable to the valuations of investments in the Fleurs Fund and in Camabo which reflect, respectively, the positive results of the real estate vehicle that acquired the “U1” and “U3″ properties in Milanofiori Nord and the economic effects pertaining to the semester of the exclusive agreements with FC Internazionale Milano S.p.A.”
Looking ahead, the landowners provided insight into future developments: “With reference to the southern sector of the Milanofiori area, for which an urban planning variant to the PGT was published in March 2024, in accordance with existing agreements, FC Internazionale Milano S.p.A will continue to verify the feasibility of building a stadium and some accessory functions within the area and, in parallel, investigations regarding hypotheses for the development of alternative projects.”
