Inter’s Carlos Augusto sidelined with muscle Injury

Start

Inter Milan have been dealt another blow in their injury-plagued start to the season. Head coach Simone Inzaghi will have to manage without Carlos Augusto for the upcoming matches, as confirmed by an official club statement.

The Brazilian left-back underwent an MRI scan at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano following his injury during the match against Young Boys. The examination revealed a muscle strain in the flexors of his left thigh. The club has announced that his condition will be re-evaluated next week.

This setback is likely to keep Augusto out of action for several crucial fixtures. He is expected to miss Serie A clashes against Juventus, Empoli, Venezia, and Napoli, as well as the Champions League encounter with Arsenal. In total, the Brazilian could be absent for five matches.

According to reports, Augusto’s return is anticipated for mid-November, following the international break. The target date for his comeback is set for November 23, when Inter is scheduled to face Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.
