Reports from Spanish journalist Gerard Romero suggest Intermediaries are proposing a Franck Kessie-Marcelo Brozovic exchange between Barcelona and Inter. Kessie has struggled for playing time since making the switch to the Catalans, featuring mostly from the bench this season, amid reports that he wants to leave the club in January, with Inter among the clubs following him.
Romero spoke about the rumours on his Twitch channel and claimed that “Some intermediaries have offered Barcelona an exchange between two players: Kessie for Inter’s Brozovic”.
Despite the links, Romero claims that Kessie would not want to leave Barcelona as he still believes he has a future at the club, however the Catalan club see it as a good potential swap for them as Brozovic could be an excellent replacement for Sergio Busquets.
For the moment, the deal seems unlikely, especially as Brozovic penned a contract extension last year, keeping him at Inter until at least 2026.
