Inter plan to take Romelu Lukaku on loan for another season but will include an obligation to sign him outright in 2024. The Belgian striker spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan with the Nerazzurri, but injury marred the early part of the season, before he hit form in the closing months. City rivals Milan are reportedly interested in Lukaku, along with Saudi club Al-Hilal, but the striker has made it clear he wants to return to Inter after the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the forward is due to return to Chelsea this month, and they are keen to sell him outright, rather than send him out on loan.
Inter are preparing a new offer for the player, this time taking him on loan for 2023-24, and including an obligation to sign him outright for €30 million next summer.
The transaction would be funded by the sale of goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is being closely linked with a move to Manchester United.
In turn, Inter will look to sign a keeper for a minimal outlay, possible Hugo Lloris or Yann Sommer.
