Juventus are Inter are expected to go head-to-head on the transfer market this summer for Davide Frattesi and Giorgio Scalvini. The two youngsters are among the most in-demand talents in Italy this season, having become key members of the starting XI’s at Sassuolo and Atalanta, respectively.

Tuttosport report that Frattesi has been of interest to both teams for some time now, with Juventus reportedly having opened talks for the young midfielder earlier this season. Inter also want the player, however the €40m price tag set by the Neroverdi is deemed too high for the moment. Both clubs would need to look to the immediate future in order to decide if such an investment can be made: The Bianconeri need to settle Adrien Rabiot’s situation and whether or not they will renew his contract, while Inter need to secure Champions League football before making major decisions on investments.

The newspaper also write that for Scalvini, the situation is different, as both clubs would like to sign the player, regardless of income and potential sales. The 19-year-old has attracted attention from around Italy and beyond, having delivered a number of encouraging performances for La Dea this season. Liverpool are the latest English club interested in the versatile defender, who recently claimed that the Premier League is the best of Europe’s big leagues.
