Inter Ultras banned from using whistles against Roma

Start

Inter ultras will not be able to use whistles against former striker Romelu Lukaku after they confirmed that they’ve been banned from using them.

30,000 whistles had  been handed out by the Curva Sud to use against the Belgian striker for Sunday nights match against Roma.

Lukaku spent the last season on loan with the Nerazzurri and was in talks with the club to make the move permanent this summer.

Inter had entered into talks with Chelsea to secure a new deal, however reports then circulated that the 30-year-old was in talks with rivals Juventus over a potential transfer. Inter directors opted to terminate all talks, leaving Lukaku to join Roma on loan on deadline day.

The ultras have now released a statement on Instagram, confirming that they’ve been banned from using these whistles against Lukaku:

“More abuse. Whistles banned! 10,000 in Florence was ok two years ago. The law is not the same for everyone.”
