With the 27 year-old Slovakian international inching closer towards a move to French giants PSG ahead of next season, Inter are increasingly pushing Milan Skriniar towards a January departure.
After a long awaited response from Skriniar regarding the Nerazzurri’s 6.5m euro contract extension offer that has been on the table for several months, the central defender has refused the contract and is keen to move to the French outfits as per Footmercato.
PSG have been on Skriniar’s tail since the summer as they were set to submit a hefty fee of 70m euro to the Beneamata in order to acquire the world class central defender, which was refused by the Milanese club as they felt confident that Skriniar would agree to remain at the San Siro and wanted more funds.
However, with Skriniar having rejected Inter’s offer to extend his stay, the European giants will very much likely acquire the Slovak for an extremely low fee, possibly for free if Skriniar remains at Inter for the last 6 months if the season.
According to reports from Il Libero, Inter are pushing for Milan Skriniar to depart the club before the winter transfer window closes in order to obtain transfer fees around the region of 20m euros, rather than simply lose one of their most valuable assets entirely for fee.
