With many of the Nerazzurri defenders currently on expiring contracts, Inter show intent of extending former Lazio central defender Francesco Acerbi’s stay at the San Siro past this season.
Since arriving from the Biancocelesti, the 34 year-old has been arguably one of the most consistent defenders as he slotted in with great ease within the back-three, earning himself 14 appearances across all competitions under Inzaghi at the helm.
On the other hand, Dutchman Stefan De Vrij has underwent his fair share of struggles since the start of this year’s campaign, causing the club to be reluctant to offer the 30 year-old an extension before his contract runs out this summer.
According to reports from Fc Inter News, Inter will only sign Francesco Acerbi if Lotito is willing to accept an offer that is lower than his 4 million euro evaluation of the player.
