Inter director Piero Ausilio was present at the Europa League match between Roma and Salzburg and took the opportunity to watch defender Oumar Solet. The Nerazzurri SD was reportedly present to watch the Austrian and a number of their promising young talents including Noah Okafor, Maurits Kjaergaard, Nicolas Seiwald and Luka Sucic.
Tuttosport report that Inter are following a number of profiles from the Bundesliga side as they look to the future of the team, with Okafor of particular interest to the club.
The 22-year-old has already scored 10 goals across all competitions so far this season, but his price-tag is expected to be at least €35m, with cross-city rivals Milan already linked with the young forward.
Among the other names, Solet is reportedly of particular interest to the Nerazzurri after he became a mainstay in the Salzburg back line, notching up 43 appearances in two seasons with the Austrian side.
The French talent began his career at Stade Laval before making the move to Lyon, where he featured just twice for the senior side. Salzburg opted to sign him in 2020 for €4.5m and up to €4m in bonuses and 15% of any future sale, and he has since become a key part of their squad.
Inter are looking to reinforce their back line, given that Milan Skriniar is set to leave the club for free this summer and they are yet to agree terms with Stefan de Vrij on a new contract beyond next summer.
