Inter have released a statement after defender Francesco Acerbi withdrew from the Italy training camp. The veteran defender is at the centre of an alleged racist incident involving Napoli centre-back Juan Jesus. Inter have now released a statement following the incident:
“FC Internazionale Milano acknowledges the statement released by the FIGC regarding the events involving Francesco Acerbi during last night’s match against Napoli, and the agreement between FIGC and Acerbi for the player not to participate in the upcoming two friendly matches of the National Team scheduled in the United States.
FC Internazionale Milano reserves the right to promptly engage in a discussion with its member to shed light on the exact dynamics of what happened last night.”
