Inter have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Sassuolo to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi this summer. The Italy international has been the subject of a four-way tug of war between Inter, Milan, Roma and Juventus. The two Milan sides had reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign the youngster, with Milan set to meet the Neroverdi today to try and clinch a deal.
Sky Sport Italia now report that the Nerazzurri have taken a definitive lead and are closing in on the 23-year-old. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter have reached a verbal agreement with Sassuolo for Frattesi, with just the final details pending.
According to their report, the deal could be closed within the next 24-48 hours, with the player now ‘in Inter’s grasp’. Frattesi is expected to join on loan with an obligation to sign next summer for €25 million, while Inter youngster Samuele Mulattieri will head to Sassuolo as part of the deal.
Fabrizio Romano confirms the news, saying Inter are closing in on the signing and only formalities remain before Frattesi is confirmed as a new signing.
