Inter monitoring Aston Villa’s Matty Cash as potential Dumfries replacement

Start

Inter are keeping a close eye on Aston Villa’s Matty Cash, as the English right-back is viewed as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries, according to reports from Sky Italia.

Dumfries, the Dutch wing-back, recently expressed his admiration for the Premier League, fuelling speculation about his future at the Nerazzurri. Inter are open to cashing in on the Dutchman, should a suitable offer arrive, as they look to generate funds for potential reinforcements or to address other areas of their squad.

However, contract extension talks with Dumfries have stalled, and Inter have yet to receive any concrete offers for the 27-year-old. Amidst this uncertainty, the Milanese club has already begun exploring potential replacements, with Aston Villa’s Matty Cash emerging as a viable target.

Cash, who has also been linked with a move to Inter’s city rivals AC Milan in recent weeks, has caught the attention of the Nerazzurri scouts with his impressive performances for Villa in the Premier League.

In addition to Cash, Inter are also keeping tabs on Dan N’Doye, the Swiss right-back who has impressed with his displays for Bologna in Serie A and is currently representing Switzerland at the ongoing European Championships.
