Inter Milan has suffered another setback in defence with the news that Yann Bisseck has sustained a muscle injury. The young German defender underwent medical examinations that revealed a muscular strain in the adductor muscles of his left thigh. As a result, he is expected to be sidelined for approximately 20 to 25 days.
A statement from the club confirmed, “Yann Bisseck underwent clinical and instrumental tests this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano. The exams showed a muscle strain in the adductors of his left thigh. His situation will be reassessed next week.”
Bisseck’s absence will be felt in the upcoming fixtures, as he is set to miss matches against Venezia, Bologna, Empoli, Sparta Prague, Lecce, and Monaco on January 29. The primary goal for Inter is to have him fit for the crucial derby against AC Milan on February 2, although his recovery will depend on how well he responds to treatment.
This injury comes at a challenging time for Inter, who are already navigating a busy schedule and dealing with several other injury concerns within the squad.
