Inter Milan Set to Meet Newell’s Old Boys President to Discuss Silvetti and Perez Transfer

Start

Inter Milan’s pursuit of young Argentine talents Mateo Silvetti and Tomás Perez has taken a significant step forward as Ignacio Astore, president of Club Atletico Newell’s Old Boys, arrives in Milan for talks with the Nerazzurri’s management.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the meeting, scheduled for today, comes after Inter’s initial scouting of the two promising players. Silvetti, a 19-year-old attacking winger born in 2006, and Perez, a 20-year-old central midfielder born in 2005, have caught the eye of Inter’s recruitment team, known for their keen interest in Argentine football.

Both Silvetti and Perez have been regular fixtures in Newell’s Old Boys’ first team, gaining valuable experience in Argentina’s top flight. Inter’s interest in these players aligns with their long-standing tradition of nurturing South American talent, with the club hoping to replicate the success they’ve had with players like Lautaro Martinez.

The primary objective of today’s meeting is to explore the feasibility of a potential transfer. Inter’s plan, should an agreement be reached, would be to integrate these young talents into their newly formed Under-23 team, set to debut in the 2025/2026 season.
