Inter Milan are making significant strides in its pursuit of Tomas Perez, the promising young Newell’s Old Boys midfielder. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the situation is expected to evolve rapidly, particularly following Inter’s match today, January 15. Ignacio Astore, the president of Newell’s Old Boys, is set to arrive in Milan to finalize the deal during the game against Bologna. This meeting could be crucial in sealing Perez’s transfer.
While Inter has also shown interest in Mateo Silvetti, a winger from the same Argentine club, negotiations for his signing appear to be more challenging. Newell’s are seeking a higher fee for Silvetti, which could complicate matters.
Tomas Perez has been on Inter’s radar for several weeks now. The young midfielder has made 17 appearances this season and scored once. Additionally, he represents Argentina at the Under-20 level, showcasing his potential on an international stage.
If the deal goes through, Perez is likely to be loaned out to gain experience in European football rather than joining Inter’s first team immediately. Reports suggest that Serie A side Como is currently leading the race to secure his services on loan.
