Inter looking to Nathan Zézé: Offer and Nantes’ high demands

Start

Inter Milan are looking to find a worthy substitute for Alessandro Bastoni and has identified Nathan Zézé from Nantes as a potential candidate. Zézé, a promising talent from the Nantes youth academy, has caught the attention of several top clubs, including those in the English Premier League.

Calciomercato report how Inter recently made an offer of approximately €15 million, including bonuses, for the young Ivorian defender. However, Nantes has rejected this bid, holding firm on their valuation, which is nearly double what Inter proposed. The French club is aware of the interest from other clubs, which could potentially lead to a bidding war for Zézé, who has already made 13 appearances in Ligue 1.

Despite the setback, Inter remains keen on securing Zézé, especially with the transfer window closing soon. The club is also exploring other defensive options, such as Ricardo Rodriguez and Cabal, though those negotiations have stalled. Hermoso is currently on standby, while Renan and Kiwior are also being considered as alternatives.

Inter’s pursuit of Zézé underscores their urgent need to strengthen their defence following the injury to Canadian wing-back Buchanan. With Carlos Augusto moving to the wing, Inter is determined to fill the left-sided defensive position before the transfer deadline. As the market’s closing date approaches, the club is expected to intensify its efforts to finalize their defensive lineup.
