Inter are sounding out the prospect of a loan move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodrigo De Paul this summer. The 27-year-old has underwhelmed in his first season with Los Colchoneros, following a high profile move from Udinese last summer for €35m.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Argentine international isn’t averse to the idea of returning to Italy this summer with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio having already contacted the players entourage to sound out a move.
Given Inter’s current finances, an outright move might be difficult, but a loan move could be more realistic, especially given the players openness to a return to Serie A. It’s reports that any potential loan deal wouldn’t include an option or obligation to buy for the moment.
Atletico have a long-standing interest in Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez, but the report suggests the two potential deals are completely separate.
