Inter have reportedly opened talks with Arsenal over a potential transfer for talented youngster Folarin Balogun. The 21-year-old spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan with Ligue 1 side Reim, scoring 22 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write that Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has been in London since yesterday for a series of market meetings, with agents, intermediaries and managers. Today, after more face-to-face meetings, he will return to Milan without completed deals, but with clearer ideas on many names.
The Nerazzuri director has discussed at length with Chelsea, the future of Romelu Lukaku and Andre Onana, as well as potential deals for Denzel Dumfires and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Ausilio also sounded out Folarin Balogun who is owned by Arsenal, with the ideal option being be to have the American on loan. Despite the request, Arsenal want to monetise any potential deal and are asking for €40 million which will go towards their move for Declan Rice.
