Inter are in talks with English centre-back Chris Smalling and have reportedly made him a contract offer. The 33-year-old veteran is into the final five months of his existing contract with the Giallorossi and is free to talk with other clubs after turning down a renewal offer.
Smalling has been linked with the Nerazzurri since the end of last year, with previous reports claiming he wanted to remain in Italy, even if he didn’t agree terms on a new Roma deal.
Transfer journalist Nicolo Schira writes that Inter are now in talks with Smalling and have offered him a €3.5m contract offer until 2025.
Juventus have also been linked with the former Manchester United man, and could also make an offer of their own, given that Smalling looks set on leaving Rome this summer.
