Inter are looking for a new left-back to replace Robin Gosens and are being linked with Rennes’ Adrien Truffert. The Nerazzurri are reportedly prepared to allow Gosens to leave, with a number of Bundesliga sides being linked with the German international.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that among the names to replace him is 21-year-old Truffert who Nerazzurri scouts have already watched on a number of occasions this season.
Competition for the Frenchman is expected to be strong, as the youngster has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the league this season and is liked by French national team coach Didier Deschamps.
Inter rate the player highly as he could fit into coach Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system and could also play as a wing-back. His contract with Rennes ends in 202, leading them to value him at €15 million, a figure that might be out of reach for the Nerazzurri in the January transfer window, however they will continue to monitor his situation with an eye to the future.
