Inter have confirmed that Milan Skriniar has undergone an operation to deal with an ongoing back problem that has kept him off the pitch in recent weeks. The centre-back has been out of action for over a month due to the injury and was expected to return later this month, having targeted last nights match against Benfica for a prospective comeback.
Inter have now officially confirmed that the Slovakian International has undergone surgery in France for the injury:
“Milan Skriniar underwent endoscopic surgery on his lumbar spine yesterday day at the “Clinique du Sport” in Merignac. For the Nerazzurri defender will follow rehabilitation program in the coming weeks.”
Skrinar is expected to depart Milan at the end of the season, having failed to agree a contract extension with Inter, despite lengthy talks with the club. PSG are expected to sign the defender for free this summer, having reportedly offered him a €9m a season salary, plus up to €2m in performance related bonuses.
