In a major operation conducted by the Milan police on Monday, September 30, 2024, 19 ultras leaders from Inter and AC Milan fan groups were arrested. The dawn raid resulted in 16 individuals being taken into custody and 3 placed under house arrest. This large-scale operation, led by the mobile squad under Alfonso Iadevaia, is linked to an investigation coordinated by the Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Calciomercato report that the alleged crimes include criminal association with mafia-style methods, extortion, and assault. According to the Milan Police Headquarters, most of the suspects are connected to the ultra fan groups of the two main Milan teams, with crimes related to the business activities surrounding the football context.
Among those imprisoned are prominent figures from AC Milan’s Curva Sud: the Lucci brothers (Francesco and Luca), their loyal associate Islam Hagag (known as “Alex Cologno”), Alessandro Sticco (nicknamed “Shrek”), and Christian Rosiello, who was involved in an incident with a celebrity personal trainer.
The operation also targeted key members of Inter’s Curva Nord, including Marco Ferdico, his father Gianfranco, Mauro Nepi (known as “Maurino”), Matteo Norrito, and Renato Bosetti (nicknamed “Renatone”).
The investigation has revealed potential links between these ultra groups and organized crime. Of particular concern is the management of revenues from the Curva Nord, which may have led to the death of Totò Bellocco, a 36-year-old heir to a ‘Ndrangheta crime family. Bellocco was killed on September 4 in Cernusco sul Naviglio by Andrea Beretta, a former historic leader of the Inter ultras.
