Talented Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci has caught the attention of top clubs after scoring his first goal of the season against Udinese. The young Italian international, currently playing for Torino, has been developing his skills as an attacking midfielder under the guidance of former coach Ivan Juric.
According to Calciomercato, Milan have emerged as the most interested Serie A club in acquiring Ricci, with the Rossoneri considering him as an alternative to Fofana as early as January. Initial exploratory contacts have been made, although negotiations are still in their early stages. Ricci’s contract with Torino runs until June 2026, but the club is open to offers that match the player’s quality.
Torino, anticipating a potential departure, has already identified a replacement in Matteo Prati. Currently struggling for playing time at Cagliari, Torino believes in Prati’s abilities and sees him as an ideal successor to Ricci.
It’s worth noting that Empoli, Ricci’s former club, retains a percentage (believed to be around 10%) of any future transfer fee. Ricci’s journey from Empoli’s youth ranks to becoming a target for top clubs showcases his rapid development since his €10 million move to Torino in January 2022.
