Ibrahimovic: “Everyone Wants to Play for Milan” – Hints at Potential Rashford Talks

Start

In a pre-match interview with Sky Sport before Milan’s Serie A clash with Cagliari, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now serving as a Senior Advisor for RedBird and a Milan executive, shared his thoughts on the team’s recent performances and addressed rumours about Marcus Rashford.

Reflecting on the team’s recent form, Ibrahimovic stated, “What we were looking for was a reaction, a shock to the team, and the important thing is that the team has received it well. Now we must continue, otherwise the Supercoppa, which was one of our objectives, is worth less. Regrets? No, if you make a choice you have to believe in it. Results were missing and we made a change, that’s all.”

When asked about decision-making processes within the club, the Swedish legend emphasized unity: “We are a team, every decision is made as a squad. For me, every day that passes is experience. I’m in a club where the pressure is at its maximum and I like it. I’m not afraid, but it charges me up. I’m humble when I’m not playing.”

The conversation then turned to Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, with whom Ibrahimovic played during his time at Old Trafford. “I played with him when he was young, now he’s more of a man and a great player. Of Manchester United, though,” Ibrahimovic remarked. He then added intriguingly, “Milan is a great club, everyone wants to play for Milan. We haven’t spoken with him yet, we’ll see if we do in the coming days.”
