Hellas Verona are continues to work on their post-Baroni plans, with Andrea Sottil joining the list of names for the new coach. Following their successful bid to secure safety, Marco Baroni and the club decided to go their separate ways, with the Gialloblu now contemplating a new coach.
Gianluca Di Marzio writes that Sottil and Verona had discussions on Wednesday, and the former Udinese is now under consideration for the new coaching role. In recent days, there has also been a meeting with former Venezia and Empoli coach, Paolo Zanetti.
Sottil managed Udinese for 50 matches: he arrived in June 2022 and was dismissed in October 2023. Last season, he led the team for ten matches in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, securing one victory, six draws, and three defeats.
