New Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli called being at the club a ‘truly incredible feeling’, after he penned a five-year contract with the Bianconeri. The 51-year-old’s arrival was officially announced earlier today and speaking with JTV, the new director shared his thoughts after making the move to Turin and his first emotions at arriving at Continassa:
“It’s been incredible really, almost indescribable. As a child li would travel from Prato by coach and made the eight-hour journey to see Juventus, so you can imagine how proud I feel now.”
“Is there anyone in particular in my thoughts? My dad, who was a huge Juventus fan and instilled Juventus in me from an early age. For this on one hand I thank him and i feel grateful, but I’ll always feel a tinge of sadness.”
“This Juventus I’m getting to know? Fascinating and ambitious.”
“My role? It’s always hard to talk about oneself, we always have to work harder than others. Then if we do it even better time will tell, but I will certainly be a great worker.”
“Our setup? We all have to put aside the ‘I’ and think as ‘we’, I’d like to put together many heads with one heart.”
