Il Corriere dello Sport report that Cristiano Giuntoli has reached an agreement with Juventus, but Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is unsure about releasing the sporting director from the last year of his contract. Giuntoli has helped assemble the Partenopei’s title winning team, bringing together players like Victor Osimhen, Kim Min-Jae and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and the Bianconeri are keen to bring his services to Turin.
Il Corriere dello Sport claim that terms on a deal between the two parties have already been agreed, but Giuntoli still has a season left on his Napoli contract and has yet to agree a release from the contract.
Much will depend on De Laurentiis, who is reportedly unsure on whether or not to release the director who he famously recruited from Carpi in 2015.
Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all reportedly keen on Giuntoli as well, but he’s keen to remain in Italy for the moment.
Napoli have been linked with Empoli SD Pietro Accardi with whom De Laurentiis is well acquainted, having purchased a number of players from the Azzurri in recent years.
