Juventus Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli spoke to DAZN before the team’s match against Como, addressing recent transfer activities and the club’s ambitions.
Reflecting on the club’s recent challenges, Giuntoli stated, “We’ve had a very delicate, difficult period, being short-staffed in defense for a long time. We’ve tried to compensate with these additions. They will give us a great hand.”
When asked about the acquisition of Kolo Muani, Giuntoli explained the club’s opportunistic approach: “We tried to be vigilant, there was this opportunity, and we seized it. We’re happy with Kolo; he can play as a striker and on the wing, with everyone. We’re very pleased.”
Addressing rumors surrounding Andrea Cambiaso, Giuntoli clarified, “There was interest from an important club in England, but it didn’t materialize. Nothing too strange. There are many young players who have attracted great interest, but we’re keeping him close, and we’re happy he stayed.”
Regarding Juventus’ objectives for the season, Giuntoli emphasized a focused approach: “In other competitions? We must think game by game, but Juventus has the duty and desire to do its best, to move forward and to do the maximum.”
