Ghisolfi: “Dybala? We are talking about his future. Frattesi is a son of Rome”

As the tension mounts in the capital for the highly anticipated Roma-Lazio derby, Florent Ghisolfi, the sporting director of Roma, shared his insights just minutes before kickoff.

In an interview with DAZN, Ghisolfi addressed various topics, including the inclusion of Lorenzo Pellegrini in the starting lineup. Following comments made by Claudio Ranieri, he stated, “I want to talk only about the match; nothing is more important than this. Lorenzo is our captain, a son of Rome. I hope he plays a great game tonight and leads the team to victory.”

The future of star player Paulo Dybala was also a focal point of discussion. Ghisolfi remarked, “His future? We are also talking with his entourage. We are aligned. I repeat, Paulo’s importance for Roma is great. At the moment there is nothing special; we hope he brings emotions to our fans tonight.”

When asked about Claudio Ranieri’s potential long-term position as head coach, Ghisolfi responded with optimism: “I hope so. I don’t like to talk about other coaches today; Ranieri is doing a great job and for me it’s an incredible fortune to work with him. I hope he will be inspired tonight.”

The conversation then shifted to midfielder Davide Frattesi, who has been linked with a move to Roma. Ghisolfi commented on Frattesi’s connection to the club: “I don’t want to comment on market rumors, especially tonight. Frattesi is a good player; he too is a son of Rome. But today is more important.”
