Stefano Sensi’s anticipated move to Leicester City hit a roadblock, and the midfielder will remain with Inter Milan until the end of his contract. Despite completing the medical examinations as planned, the transfer failed to materialize, leaving Sensi to see out the season with Inter.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FCinter1908) report that initially, everything seemed arranged between the two clubs, with a loan of €500,000 and €2.5 million in bonuses in case of Leicester’s promotion to the Premier League under Maresca’s management.
Additionally, a guaranteed percentage in case of a future resale was part of the agreement. However, the strict financial fair play constraints prevented the Foxes from meeting the stipulated criteria, resulting in the deal falling through.
This turn of events means that Sensi will continue donning the Inter jersey until the conclusion of his contract at the end of the season.
