Gatti: ‘It’s not a good draw, we wanted to win against Roma’

Juve defender Federico Gatti spoke to Sky Sport following the goalless draw against Roma, explaining why he feels regret over the result.

Gatti expressed disappointment with the result, stating, “It was an important match, but I don’t think it’s a good draw. We wanted to win and there’s regret, but when you can’t win, it’s important not to lose.” He emphasized the need for continued hard work and integration with new players.

Regarding the new additions to the squad, Gatti was optimistic: “They have a lot of quality. In the long run, they will help us, even if it will take some time.” This suggests a period of adaptation as the team builds cohesion with its new members.

Gatti highlighted the evolving tactical approach under new management: “Many things have changed. We’re also pressing higher, and sometimes we find ourselves in one-on-one situations.” He compared the coaching styles of Allegri and Motta, noting, “Allegri and Motta are top coaches, with similar but different ideas. We’re learning new things, we’ll see.”

When asked about facing Dovbyk, Gatti offered a brief assessment: “He’s a strong striker, physically big, and also attacks the space.” This comment was cut short, but it indicates Gatti’s awareness of the challenges posed by specific opponents.
