Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes the philosophy for his team is that ‘there is no glory without risks’, ahead of their game with Inter. La Dea will host the Nerazzurri later this afternoon, and Gasperini believes his side will have play their way in order to stay true to the philosophy he’s instilled in his squad:
“Settling for a draw with Inter? There is no glory without risks, this is our philosophy. I’m not used to signing up for a result, although on paper a point tomorrow would be nice. But without our philosophy we wouldn’t often leave the big teams behind”.
“We face the strongest team, but we are only at the eleventh match week even if our ambition has always been to play to win. The one against Inter is definitely a test to verify on the field our value against an opponent of this level”.
“From now until the return from the break, in addition to Inter, we host Napoli and Milan, but I can’t look too far, I live for the day. We have Sturm Graz next Thursday, a match that is passing in silence and instead is decisive, then Udine three days later. In the end we are fourth in Italy and first in the Europa League.”
