Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes striker Rasmus Hojlund is worth up to €100 million as he is among the best emerging talents in Europe. The Denmark international has become the focus of interest from Premier League club Manchester United, who are looking to invest in a forward for the long-term.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Gasperini was asked if he believes Hojlund should spend another season with Atalanta:
“I think so, then after that it’s difficult here too. He undoubtedly has great talent, but also great room for improvement. These things are visible in both senses, he must work to improve because he has the characteristics to become one of the strongest strikers in the world.”
“I don’t know if he’s leaving, the market is unpredictable. I hope for the club they value him at €80, 90, 100 million. The market value changes.
“But among the young emerging players in his role, if not the best, he is among the best in Europe.”
