Galliani on Milan’s challenges: “I have my own problems at Monza”

Adriano Galliani, the former CEO of AC Milan and current executive at Monza, reflected on his time with the Rossoneri during an event celebrating the club’s 125th anniversary. While expressing nostalgia for his years at Milan, he also emphasized his focus on Monza’s current challenges.

When asked about his memories at Milan, Galliani stated, “If I think that President Berlusconi won 29 of the 49 trophies that Milan has claimed in its 125 years, I feel nostalgic. What was achieved during those years is incredible and wonderful.”

Regarding Milan’s current struggles, Galliani was quick to redirect the conversation to his responsibilities at Monza. “Excuse me, I’m focused on Monza,” he said with a smile. “Thirty-one years at Milan certainly cannot be forgotten; the Rossoneri are still in my heart. I am the director of Monza and have enough of my own problems without discussing those of Milan.”

Despite his ties to Milan, Galliani expressed enjoyment in being part of the anniversary celebrations. “Of course, I enjoy being here. I spoke with the players, and they should arrive soon—both players from our era and the current ones. How can you forget 31 years? You almost retire after 31 years,” he joked.
