Turkish giants Galatasaray have expressed interest in acquiring Roma’s Polish winger Nicola Zalewski on a permanent deal. With the Turkish transfer window remaining open until September 13, the Istanbul-based club is looking to bolster their squad with another Serie A talent.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Galatasaray, who recently secured Victor Osimhen on loan from Napoli, are now turning their attention to the 21-year-old Zalewski. The club is reportedly keen on pursuing a permanent transfer for the young Polish international, who has been impressing with his national team performances.
This move comes as Galatasaray’s rivals, Fenerbahce, have reached an agreement with Juventus for Filip Kostic, highlighting the ongoing competition between the two Istanbul clubs in the transfer market.
Zalewski has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout the summer. Earlier, PSV Eindhoven had shown interest, offering €9 million for the player. Additionally, there were discussions about a potential swap deal involving Cyril Ngonge with Napoli in the final days of August, though this did not materialize.
The potential transfer to Galatasaray represents a new opportunity for Zalewski, whose future at Roma has been uncertain. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether this move to Turkey will come to fruition.
This transfer, if completed, would mark another significant departure from Serie A to the Turkish Super Lig, following other high-profile moves such as Ciro Immobile’s transfer from Lazio to Besiktas.
