Following Frosinone’s hard-fought 3-2 defeat against AC Milan at the Stirpe stadium, coach Eusebio Di Francesco shared his post-match thoughts in an interview with DAZN. Despite the disappointment of not securing a positive result, Di Francesco praised his team’s performance and resilience against a strong Milan side:
“It’s disappointing after such a performance; we’ve had several against top teams. It’s frustrating not to take anything home. We pay a high price for small naiveties, and it’s regrettable because the team stood up brilliantly against Milan. The positive is the overall performance.”
“Negative moment? There have been 10 negative days, but they reacted magnificently. We played with two full-backs who acted as midfielders. The team can handle players of Milan’s caliber, and at times, we had control of the game. The players showed they were on point.”
“It’s regrettable because sometimes things don’t go the right way when you make a mistake. The 2-3 goal? Jovic comes alive when he sees us. Mazzitelli performs well when we play good passes. He is also good at making runs from behind. He has gained good awareness and is the team’s leader.”
