Frosinone Eusebio Di Francesco talked through their 1-1 draw against Verona, confirming that Matias Soule would not be leaving the club in January. The Canarini struggled for form in the first half but a brilliant equaliser from Kaio Jorge saw them snatch a late point in a game they could have won. Speaking with DAZN post-match, Di Francesco analysed the game as he saw it:
“Analyzing the game, I must say that we had a first half below our capabilities. We weren’t able to interpret the game well. Credit must be given to the opponents who were more determined.”
He continued, “We played two midfielders as full-backs. I am pleased with the reaction of the boys; the result was fair. I think it’s difficult to recover someone unless the sporting director gives me a gift from the transfer market.”
“The problem is the immediacy; otherwise, the squad would be excellent. We have many injuries, and players are not at their best.”
“Kaio Jorge? He has improved a lot; we hold onto him tightly. I hope Cheddira returns to scoring soon.”
“Soulè? He always sought his plays, but perhaps he couldn’t express himself as usual. I liked him. Offers from Arabia? He made a technical and professional choice, not an economic one. For a boy his age, it would be a shame to move there. It’s not a league where the technical-tactical level has risen as they want us to believe.”
