Francisco Conceicao, Juventus’ new signing from Porto, has expressed his enthusiasm and ambitions for his time with the Italian giants during his introductory press conference. Despite a minor setback due to injury, the Portuguese winger remains optimistic about his future with the club.
Conceicao began by sharing his positive first impressions: “I’ve been very well received by the team and staff. I’m happy to be at Juventus and want to give continuity to my work. I chose this club because when a team like this calls you, you can’t refuse. I want to help the club achieve its goals. I’m convinced I made the right choice.”
The young player drew parallels between himself and his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, who previously played for Juventus: “I haven’t spoken with Cristiano about my arrival in Turin yet, but I will. It’s true, there are some coincidences, like the shirt number I chose. I see myself in him in the desire to improve every time.”
Conceicao also spoke about the influence of his father, Sergio Conceicao, a former Serie A player: “I talked with my father about Italian football. He obviously played here many years ago, but he told me it’s a very competitive championship, one of the best in the world where the greatest players are.”
Regarding his playing style and development, Conceicao stated: “Dribbling, one-on-one, and daring on the field are my main traits. I’m sure I’ll improve a lot with Thiago Motta.”
The winger also addressed his current injury situation: “I’m working day by day to return as soon as possible. It’s nothing serious and we’ll see when I can come back.”
Looking to the future, Conceicao expressed his desire for a long-term stay at Juventus: “I hope to stay here for a long time. I’m focusing on my work, day after day.”
