Roma icon Francesco Totti recently shared his insights on his long-time teammate and close friend Daniele De Rossi’s early days as the head coach of AS Roma.
In an interview with SportMediaset, Totti expressed his admiration for De Rossi’s seamless transition into coaching, stating:
“I think Daniele came in well and immediately managed to replace José Mourinho in the best possible way.”
Acknowledging the challenges of managing a club like Roma, Totti added, “Roma is a difficult club to manage; however, I think he is doing very well.”
Reflecting on Roma’s recent draw with Brighton, Totti noted, “Brighton will be a difficult opponent, prepared, coached by an Italian who knows our football. In England, he is doing very well, so there is a 50% chance of passing as well as being eliminated.”
