Following Fiorentina’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Bologna, sporting director Daniele Pradè expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s performance and the attitude of head coach Vincenzo Italiano. In a post-match press conference, Pradè addressed the emotional toll of the day, especially in light of the recent passing of coach Raffaele Palladino’s mother.
“I came to extend my condolences to our coach Raffaele Palladino,” Pradè began. “We went from a joyful moment with Edoardo Bove at the ‘Viola Park’ to this loss. The match started under a cloud of shock.” He noted that a crucial penalty decision was overlooked, which he believed could have significantly altered the outcome of the game.
Pradè did not hold back when discussing Italiano’s demeanor during the match. “I did not like Italiano’s attitude towards our fans at all. We have shared both joys and sorrows together, and I found it a significant lack of respect. I’ve learned a lot about the man, and I don’t even wish to meet him,” he stated emphatically.
Despite the defeat, Pradè maintained that Fiorentina remains ambitious. “We played well in the first half, but they performed better in the second. I reiterate that the incident involving Gudmundsson could have changed everything,” he added, highlighting his belief in the team’s potential despite recent setbacks.
