Fiorentina prepare first official offer for Aster Vranckx

Start

Fiorentina are set to make their first official bid for Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx, a player they have been eyeing for some time. The Italian club has already reached an agreement with the 21-year-old Belgian international and is now ready to approach Wolfsburg with a formal offer.

Sky Sport Italia report how Vranckx, who recently participated in Euro 2024 with Belgium until their elimination in the round of 16, is poised for a return to Italy. The young midfielder previously had a stint with Milan two seasons ago, giving him valuable Serie A experience.

The Florence-based club had been in talks with Vranckx for several weeks, successfully agreeing on personal terms. Now, they are preparing to take the next step by presenting their first official offer to Wolfsburg. It’s worth noting that Vranckx’s current contract with the German club is set to expire in 2025, which could influence negotiations.

Reports suggest that the deal could be worth around €10 million, including add-ons. However, some sources indicate that Fiorentina might be looking to close the agreement for a slightly lower fee of €7-8 million.

Fiorentina’s pursuit of Vranckx demonstrates their commitment to strengthening their midfield. The potential acquisition of the talented Belgian could also signal possible changes in the squad, with speculation about other midfielders like Sofyan Amrabat potentially departing.
