Turkish side Fenerbahce have confirmed they’ve reached an agreement with Sassuolo for the transfer of Mert Muldur. The 24-year-old has been tracked by both Fener and title rivals Galatasaray, having spent three seasons with the Neroverdi in Serie A.
Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Müldür arrived in Istanbul on Sunday, and is expected to make the move to Fenerbahce in a €3.5 million transfer, with the player set to sign a four-year contract.
The club confirmed the news with a brief statement, stating: “Our club has reached an agreement with Sassuolo and the player for the permanent transfer of national team player Mert Müldür.”
In the same official note, Fenerbahce also announced the renewal of former Empoli and Genoa player Miha Zajc: “Our Professional Football Team continues its setup for the 2023-2024 season; an agreement has been reached with our player Miha Zajc, who has been wearing our jersey since the 2018-2019 season, to sign a new three-year contract.”
