Former Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi is set to join MLS side Toronto FC on a free transfer this summer. The 28-year-old was linked with a move to Naples earlier in the summer, with his agent having talked with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano and a number of others report that a deal is now in place for Bernardeschi to make the switch to Toronto.
The player is expected to fly to Canada on Friday where he’ll join up with compatriots Lorenzo Insigne and Domenico Criscito who have both already made the switch.
Bernardeschi spent five seasons in Turin with Juve scoring 12 goals in 183 appearances for the Bianconeri, winning Serie A three times.
