Nicolò Fagioli has officially become a Fiorentina player, marking the end of his 11-year journey with Juventus. The midfielder’s transfer was finalized in the closing hours of the transfer window, with Fiorentina securing his services ahead of Marseille. The deal structure includes an initial loan fee of 2.5 million euros, with an obligation to buy set at 13.5 million euros plus potential bonuses of 2.5 million euros.
Fagioli, born in 2001, joined Juventus’ youth academy eleven years ago, with his only stint away from the club being a loan spell at Cremonese during the 2021/22 season. The talented midfielder took to social media to share a heartfelt farewell letter to the Bianconeri, expressing his gratitude to the club, his teammates, and particularly to coaches Andrea Pirlo and Massimiliano Allegri.
In his emotional message, Fagioli wrote:
“The time has come to say goodbye. It’s always difficult to leave a place where you’ve always felt at home, where you’ve found teammates and people who have become friends over this long period. It has been 11 fantastic years. 11 years of pure passion and pure love. They’ve flown by!
I’ve been fortunate enough to train and play with players who have made history in football and at this club, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Buffon, Chiellini, Dybala, Bonucci, Di Maria, Marchisio, Barzagli, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Juan, Tek, and I apologize if I’ve forgotten anyone. All my teammates during these years with whom I leave beautiful memories and true friendships… I will miss you!
I want to thank all the coaches who have trained me from when I was a young boy until now. In particular, I thank Coach Pirlo who gave me my debut and Coach Allegri who gave me the opportunity to establish myself with this shirt.
I want to thank the club and all the directors who have worked during these years at Juve. A huge thank you also to all the people who work behind the scenes like equipment managers, doctors, physiotherapists, press officers, team managers, athletic trainers to whom I am and will always be attached.
And finally, I want to wholeheartedly thank all the Juventus fans. They have always supported me even when, as you know, I wasn’t going through good times. I am eternally grateful to them.
And as President ANDREA AGNELLI always told me… FINO ALLA FINE (Until the end)”
