The agent of Juventus youngster Facundo Gonzalez has hit out at Sampdoria for not playing him this season: ‘Sampdoria did not do what they promised.’ The 20-year-old arrived in Turin this summer but was immediately loaned out to Samp in the hopes of acquiring more playing time under coach Andrea Pirlo.
Gonzalez has only played fours minutes of football for the Serie B side since the start of the season, prompting his agent Martin Guastadisegno to share his frustrations to TMW:
“I am very worried because Sampdoria did not do what they promised. We had so many teams in Serie A that wanted him, Sampdoria called us 50 times saying they wanted him to play and I’m really sorry because I don’t like being told one thing and then doing something else.”
“I respect all the players, however, I think Facundo deserves to play. Let’s see what happens: Sampdoria is a choice made by talking to the coach, the director, and they had promised him to play. I am very much in the piece and I want to see what will happen. Juventus is also surprised, they expected a different space.”
“Could he leave in January if he doesn’t play? Sure, 100% Juventus will not want him to stay there. I don’t understand why they asked for a player so insistently and don’t play him. I spoke with Sampdoria 10 days ago, they told me he is young and will play. But if he continues like this in December he will return to Juventus or maybe go elsewhere. I am angry with the way things are going.”
