Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Juventus are solely interested in appointed Thiago Motta as Max Allegri’s successor. The Italian press has been full of speculation over Allegri’s future in Turin, with most suggesting that the Bianconeri are ready to sack the Livorno coach in favour of appointing Motta in his place.
Speaking on the SOSFanta show, Romano touched on the topic of Allegri, stating:
“The situation remains the same and we are aware of no changes to date: Juve and Allegri are destined to separate at the end of the season. Juve’s priority is Thiago Motta and Thiago Motta’s priority is Juve. There is no doubt about it, and according to what I have known for a long time, Thiago Motta’s priority is Juventus.
“Juventus and Thiago Motta continue to share a vision for the future, which obviously has to become an agreement that is not built and signed today, but we are in communication mode for the future project.”
