Fabregas: “We are working well but need to improve in the final third”

Start

Como manager Cesc Fabregas addressed the media following his team’s 2-2 draw with Bologna in the fourth round of Serie A. The match saw Como take a 2-0 lead through an own goal by Nicolo Casale and a strike from Patrick Cutrone, only for Bologna to fight back with goals from Santiago Castro and Samuel Iling-Junior.

Fabregas began by praising his team’s tactical performance while highlighting areas for improvement: “Tactically, I can’t ask for more: the boys are working well. We need to be better at converting in the final third: we’re lacking a bit in this area. We must continue to work, and I also need to do more to help put them in the best possible conditions.”

The Spanish coach then turned his attention to Como’s upcoming match: “Now we’re thinking about Atalanta. It will be a completely different game, and we’ll need to prepare for it in the best way possible.”

Fabregas concluded by acknowledging the challenges of implementing his style of play while expressing satisfaction with his team’s progress: “I’m demanding, and I know that what I’m asking is not simple, but the boys are absorbing the information very quickly. At the same time, I know that it takes time.”
